NEW USEF/USDF DRESSAGE TESTS ARE NOW IN EFFECT: The 2023 US dressage tests are now in effect. Click here to see the new tests. This applies to both schooling (FADS and others) and USEF licensed / USDF recognized shows.
NEW USEF SHOW PASS RULE IS NOW IN EFFECT: For riders, owners, trainers, coaches and parents/guardians planning to participate in USEF licensed shows (this does not apply to FADS shows): The new USEF show pass rule is now in effect. Click here for the USEF FAQs. A summary of the changes follows:
- Riders and Owners who are NOT USEF active/competing members may purchase a $45 USEF show pass online within seven days of the show (click here). The fee is NOT paid via online entries nor to the show secretary. Only one show pass may be purchased per USEF competition year. If a rider or owner wants to participate in additional USEF/USDF shows that year, they must become a USEF active/competing member; the $45 show pass fee may be applied to that year's USEF active/competing membership.
- Trainers, Coaches and Parents/Guardians Signing as Trainer and/or Coach for a Minor (under age 18) must be USEF active/competing members. They may not use USEF show passes at any time.
FADS DONATIONS: Since its inception, FADS shows have donated $52,402.14 to a variety of charities. Yay!
WHAT IS FADS?Frederick Area Dressage Shows (FADS) is a web site that lists independent casual dressage schooling shows (not combined training shows, though eventing tests can be usually ridden) located in the Frederick County, Maryland, area. FADS is not an organization - it does not hold shows, it does not have members and it does not have any money. The FADS web site is a free marketing service for farms that hold casual dressage schooling shows; the site communicates their show information to Frederick County area dressage riders. For riders, the FADS web site is a way to find and participate in casual dressage schooling shows without all the "red tape" and high cost. Read more ...
INFORMATION ABOUT FADS DRESSAGE SCHOOLING SHOWS
Each show is managed independently by the sponsoring farm. The show management determines specific guidelines for their show, including how to enter the show, which tests are offered, test fees, etc. Read more ...
