HUMAN FLY MASK
The following "Tip of the Day" is provided to assist you with horse and farm management. It is an idea developed by and/or used by Leslie Raulin. This tip is available to you at your own risk. Many of us use fly masks on our horses so pesky flying insects are less likely to bother them and less likely to bite their faces.
I am also bothered by those pesky insects flying around my face and biting me, leading to itchy red spots.
There is a solution! I use two products available on Amazon:
1) HunterBee Head Net Beekeeping Beekeeper Veil Hat (click here). This hat and veil combo is very comfortable and protects the wearer from shoulders up. It also has an adjustable strap so the hat stays on during windy days. I use this during all my outside barn chores. There are many colors from which to choose; however, the dark colors are recommended as the light colors hinder vision.

2. Coghlan's Mosquito Head Net (click here). This head net does not have an included hat. I use it over my riding helmet when riding outside.
Both of these products are made of a fine mesh through which even the tiny "no see ums" cannot pass. I have given these products as gifts to friends, my trainer, and show judges. Enjoy!
