WHAT IS THE COST OF A LICENSED DRESSAGE SHOW?
USEF Licensed / USDF Recognized shows can be expensive, as the table below for a one-day show demonstrates.
Riders, owners and trainers who are not USEF members must pay a $45 per person per show non-member (show pass) fee. Riders and owners who are not USDF members (and not GMO members) must pay a $35 per person per show non-member fee. For riders, owner and trainers who plan to participate in multiple licensed shows, it is more cost effective to become members of USEF and USDF (or a member of a GMO). If qualification for national awards is desired, USEF and USDF (or GMO for some awards) membership is required.
To be in a licensed show, as a minimum, a horse must have a USDF Horse Identification Number (HID). For horses that will be entered in multiple licensed shows for which the earning of national awards is desired, annual or lifetime USEF recordation and lifetime USDF registration of the horse is required.
NOTE: Effective December 1, 2017, many USEF & USDF fees have increased. The table below reflects the new fees.
